Sir Maurice Emeka Akueme has through his foundation; Maurice Akueme Foundation sponsored Honourable Calistus Onyekachukwu Onyia through eye tests and surgeries.

Onyia who was accompanied by the national coordinator of Maurice Akueme Foundation Honorable Mike CJ Madu to the eye specialist hospital, church view GRA, Enugu testified that no aid came to him when he wrote some prominent politicians but as soon as Maurice Akueme saw his post on a platform, he immediately took it up from there and attention has been given to the sight.

Recall that Hon. Onyia had posted earlier on Thursday that he was feeling like something was eating up his eye linen and that he could no longer see things closely and clearly.

While Onyia was going through tests, updates were flowing into various platforms from Hon. Mike CJ Madu while other participants prayed for his quick recovery.

Thursday night, Hon. Onyia dropped his vote of thanks and in a special way thanked sir Maurice Emeka Akueme for giving him his sight again.

In his words;

A STORY TO TELL ABOUT MY EYE PROBLEM.

MY name is ONYIA CALISTUS ONYEKACHUKWU from Ngwo in Udi LGA of Enugu State. I have been having a serious eye problem. A few years ago, when the pains came heavily in my eyes, I quickly wrote to my two representatives at the national assembly to help me.

None of them could attend to me. Recently, just last month, June 2020, when my eye problem became too bad with severe pains which makes me not to see anything nearer to me at all, I wrote to the two again through SMS but to no avail.

Just yesterday, I posted my eye problem across a platform, MAURICE EMEKA AKUEME took it up immediately and made sure treatment started today July 16th 2020.

To God be the Glory, it went well. Thanks to Sir Maurice EMEKA AKUEME, the President MAURICE AKUEME FOUNDATION (MAF) for offsetting the whole payments for the tests and surgery. God bless him immensely".
