APOLOGIES TO THE CATHOLIC CHURCH FOR SLANDEROUS ARTICLE.
Sequel to my article posted on Facebook and subsequently posted to opera news on May 9th 2020 at exactly 11:15am by an unknown person ,I hereby write to apologies to the holy Roman Catholic church for putting up such a slanderous, malicious and libelous article against my parish The St Patrick's Catholic parish Nekede. I sincerely apologise and take the full blames for the damages this has caused the Catholic church and St Patrick's Catholic parish Nekede.
I was made to understand that the parish which I wrote those ill and worrisome article against had done so many things for the members of the church including my own parents. I was made to equally understand that the parish priest wedded my parents without asking for a penny, after that yet gave my mother and father clothing materials for free to aid them have the normal CMO and CWO uniforms.
I wish to state categorically clear that I was quick to condemn what I didn't have clear knowledge of. As a matter of fact, I admit my mistakes and ask for the forgiveness of God, the priest whose name and character I assassinated and the entire parishioner of St Patrick's Catholic parish Nekede and promise never to put up such false, deceitful and slanderous article against the church from this day.
Everything I said in the article of May 9th, 2020 at about 11:15am were false and was done as a result of accumulated anger based on my misguided instincts and inappropriate claims which I thought rather than saw actually. It was disgusting of me to have put up this shameful act even as a devoted Catholic.
I also gathered that the Arch Bishop of Owerri Ecclesiastical diocese visited my parish and gave bags of rice, wrappers and a few other materials to the women. Also, the amount being asked for was #500 (five hundred naira only) and garri was never requested. I feel so ashamed of myself right now for this show of wickedness.
My statements regarding the collection of multiple offerings and the second being for the father's upkeep and feeding are total false and deceitful as I was put through on the happenings in the church lately. I acted out of ignorance and pray the Catholic church, my parish, St Patrick's Catholic parish Nekede, the parish priest,the CWO president, the entire parishioners and everybody who felt insulted by my words would find a place in their hearts to forgive me as I've learnt my lessons and vow this day never to indulge in such act of impunity again.
