Back To The Matter: Wizkid Takes Shot At Headies Organizers

It’s no longer news that a lot of people were disappointed that with the fact that Wizkid did not win any awards at the eighth edition of The Headies which was held in late December 2013.
Wizkid was nominated in only two categories – ‘Artiste of the Year‘ and ‘Best Collabo‘ alongside EME label mates Banky W and Skales but lost in both categories.
After weeks of silence, the Star-Boy entertainer has indirectly spoken on the matter, the Pop star wrote on Twitter; ‘My fans see nd appreciate all the work..that’s enough awards to last me a life time!‘, apparently throwing a subliminal shot at the award organizers.
Fans of the ‘Caro‘ singer had expected him to bag at least one award and felt he was cheated. Factory 78‘sAdesope Olajide recently published a vlog, asking why Wizzy didn’t get a headie despite dropping some of the biggest songs of 2013.
Wizkid lost the ‘Artiste of Year’ award to Iyanya and ‘Best Collabo’ to Phyno and Olamide.
