There are two different kinds of slay Queens though.
1) The dependent ones ( Gold diggers)
Many Nigerian girls are on the first table. They are highly dependent individuals who see relatioships and marriages as poverty alleviation schemes.
They are everywhere. The truth is that they have low self esteem which is why they always struggle to belong. They can go any length to be included amongst girls using trending stuffs like designer wears and accessories, the latest phone and makeup etc.
One thing is sure, they are dependent and unproductive. All they have most times is beauty. They have no brains, even if they do, they hardly use it. All they have to offer in any kind of relationship is sex, sex, sex and more sex because their brains are empty. They are always victims of Yahoo boys because a woman who is content and pushing to succeed can always recognize a Yahoo boy and stay away.
2) Successful women still pushing till date (BEAUTY and BRIANS)
Many successful Nigerian women are in this category. All of them whether married or not are independent to an extent and always very supportive. They are sometimes termed feminist but they are not.
They do not see marriage and relationships as poverty alleviation schemes bcos they can comfortably take care of their needs with and without a man. Typically examples are most women in leadership, management and political positions today.
They are women who are genuinely working hard and making it on their own. They don't have to sleep their way to the top cos they are very smart.
The typical Slay Queen has BEAUTY and BRIANS. Any other person outside this category is a self acclaimed slay Queen which is why Africans always see this in the negative side.
