I have decided to get my friends thoughts on my blog, i think is better than searching for long stories or fake news in order to get traffic to this blog.
These doesn't mean i won't be posting other news here o, lol..
Today i will like to share a post made by my Facebook friend by name Adaeze M Nwadike, she made this post on her Facebook timeline trying to tell her friends on Facebook why she have chosen teaching as a profession.
Now, let Adaeze talk to us below.
"Why do you want to teach? You're young, slim, beautiful. You're outspoken, talented, and to crown it all, you have a very good result. We rarely see people like you want to teach, so please be honest, why do you want to teach?"
That was when it occurred to me that minus the fact that I am happiest when I'm teaching, I haven't actually given a thought to why I want to teach.
I want to teach because I want to build a career and have a life. I don't want to be a career women whose life would be void of passion, and probably come crumbling if work is taken out of it.
I don't want to be the kind of lady who depends on scamming men to make a living. And if I eventually marry, I don't want to be a sit at home wife and mother, who would be jobless, that stressing and babysitting my spouse becomes a full time job. I want balance.
I want to have time to Cook myself vegetables. Wear face mask on Saturdays. Take evening strolls and drink a lot of air.
I want to give my husband the time to be my lover. To be a husband the way he knows best. To be his baby and Queen.
I want to be able to perform my wifely duties. To be a wife the best way I can. Have time for hearty conversations with my man. Have time to pray together. Sing together. Make plans for the future, for the children.
I want to cook for my husband.
I want to have time for my motherly duties. I want to be there when my children struggle with the pains of teething. Hold them when they cry and rock them to sleep. I want to be there when they say their first words, (which of course would be Ada)
I want to teach my boys how to cook, I want to teach them personally, that all women should be respected, that they have no privilege or edge whatsoever because they are men.
That they have to earn every respect. That hard work pays. That no girl should take advantage of them. That no human being should toil with their emotions. I want to hold my girls when they have their first heart break. I want to discuss boys with them. I want them to look at me and believe without doubt that they can be anything they want to be. I want to teach my children kindness. And the importance of sacrifice. I want to encourage them to keep dairies.
I want to have time to read books and watch movies. And do poetry. I want to be a mentor and model to young ones. I want to be a force and a voice of change. I want to be close to children. I love children.
So I figured out teaching allows me the time and platform to achieve all these at the same time.
It doesn't matter how little it pays, as long as I am impacting and i have a career, then I am happy.

WHY I HAVE CHOSEN TEACHING AS MY PROFESSION
I went for an interview, for a subsequent employment as a subject teacher somewhere in Nigeria. The interviewer asked,"Why do you want to teach? You're young, slim, beautiful. You're outspoken, talented, and to crown it all, you have a very good result. We rarely see people like you want to teach, so please be honest, why do you want to teach?"
