According to a publication by Chinedu Samuel's blog at chinedusamuel.blogspot.com on 5th August, 2020, it was gathered that on 2nd August, 2020, a group had named Sir Maurice Emeka Akueme its grand patron.
According to the founder and coordinator of Enugu Progressive Forum; the development came as a result of the immense contributions and humanitarian services poured out on the good people of Enugu state and beyond by an individual in the person of Sir Maurice Akueme (UK based accountant).
Maurice Akueme is a Nigerian, UK based accountant, who have through his foundation named after his name Maurice Akueme Foundation, Touched, Palliated, Alleviated and empowered many lives.
Within a week and six days, another post which paved its way through various social media platforms reports that Enugu Progressive Forum has issued an original certificate of recognition, honor and service.
According to a post published by the Publicity Secretary/Media and Publicity Director Amb Enemoh Ikechukwu Chris on the official Facebook page of Enugu Progressive Forum with screen shot evidence below;
The founder of the forum Mr Edu Dominion made it clear that Sir Maurice Emeka Akueme has been officially appointed The Grand Patron of one of the most reputable organizations in Enugu State with a back up certificate.
'The certificate is meant to make it an official appointment otherwise it is just an oral or digital appointment without an evidence to show for it".
He also assured Maurice Emeka Akueme of a lasting mutual relationship with him to ensure the welfare of the less privileged as projected by his foundation; The Maurice Akueme Foundation (MAF).
According to the founder cum coordinator; "Enugu Progressive Forum (EPF) is a social political and economic development advocacy group which comprises of all the indigenes and residents of Enugu State.
Our core mandate is to synergize with the government and good spirited citizens to improve the polity and development of the state.
