The new darling of Enugu state referring to Sir Maurice Emeka Akueme has been announced the organization's grand patron of Enugu Progressive Forum on Sunday 2nd August, 2020 during her general meeting which had in attendance over 20 stake holders.
This development was made available to Enugu News Media by one Mr. Edu Dominion who is the founder and Coordinator of the group.

In his statement, he made Enugu News Media to understand that the development came as a result of the immense contributions and humanitarian services poured out on the good people of Enugu state and beyond by an individual in person of Mr Maurice Akueme the UK based accountant, Maurice Akueme is a Nigerian, UK based accountant, who have through his foundation named after his name Maurice Akueme Foundation touched, Palliated, Alleviated and empowered many lives.

Mr Edu in his words classified Mr Akueme thus; "I am not surprised that every body present in the meeting has during the balloting on who will be the organization's grand patron penned down Sir Maurice Akueme which has made him a widely accepted and most suitable candidate for the position such as grand patron to such a reputable organization".
According to the founder cum coordinator; "Enugu Progressive Forum (EPF) is a social political and economic development advocacy group which comprises of all the indigenes and residents of Enugu State"
"Our core mandate is to synergize with the government and good spirited citizens to improve the polity and development of the state"
We prioritize human capital development and humanitarian services, we believe the both acts are the bedrock of any meaningful societal change in any state".
"We are of the view that someone's perception is his realities and that forms his actions, inactions and behavioral pattern".
"Therefore, to create a healthy society, we must remould, re orientate, reshape and refocus the mindsets of an average citizen towards positivism".
To achieve this noble goals, we intend to leverage on humanitarian services to impact effective cultural value development, civic education and value system".
"We intend to create workable citizens participation, engagement, Positive news updates, positive political thoughts, positive ideas that will bring progress in Enugu State and positive prayers for ourselves and our nation".
